Capsicum Re is delighted to announce that its Cyber practice has been recognised as the Treaty Reinsurance Broking Team of the Year at the 2020 Reactions London Market Awards.
The awards honour the industry’s leading underwriting companies, broking firms and service providers for their achievements in the past calendar year, as well as recognising prominent industry figures for their accomplishments in the London (re)insurance market.
Winners were announced during a virtual ceremony held on Wednesday 19 August, hosted by Reactions London Editor Mark Richardson, following an intensive selection programme involving a survey and nominations process, as well as scrutiny by a judging panel consisting of leading respected London market executives.
The panel said that Capsicum Re’s Cyber team was a deserved winner in the category because it had invested heavily on the advisory and analytics side of the business and had been proactive in delivering new structures.
Commenting on the award win, Ian Newman, Partner at Capsicum Re, said: “We are delighted that our commitment to providing unparalleled service to our clients has been recognised once again by our peers. At Capsicum Re, we are constantly looking to innovate – from the first Cyber ILS solution, the development of market leading tools such as Gh0st, to the launch of our Cyber Consultancy practice – in order to ensure our clients continue to have all the tools to take their business forward in this exciting and fast-evolving class.
“To be presented with such a prestigious award for the second year in a row is testament to the innovation and the hard work of the entire team – which has seen the delivery of truly creative products and enabled us to become a trusted advocate of our clients.”
Reactions London Editor Mark Richardson said: “Capsicum Re has developed a strong reputation for cyber reinsurance broking, and this award recognises that in 2019 that reputation was well-earned. In a fast-emerging market, the group’s cyber team didn’t stand still, and delivered new structures to help clients.”
